I'm the first to admit that I loved to watch "General Hospital" in high school and thought that Dr. Noah was quite cute. When I heard that Rick Springfield was coming to our fair I was pretty excited to use my set of free tickets for his concert. Craig had different plans, he wanted to go to Weird Al, he won out since our my friends husband wanted to go to Weird Al also. We lucked out and got another set of free tickets and went to Rick too! We'll it was fun but he's not quite the same cute guy....he's really aged but what could I expect for guy that was almost 61. I've decided after being to quite a few 80's band concerts in the past few years men over the age of about 30 shouldn't were tight leather pants, they are just way too old for them. We still had fun, Kaden thought the music was way to loud.
Mackenzie spent the summer in CA babysitting for Craig's brother but she got to come home for a week for girls camp. Saturday after we got home we got a phone call from a friend inviting us to go out on their boat. Of coarse I jump at any chance to go on a boat. (Craig comments it's the one thing he can't give me....a boat) So I headed out with Mackenzie and the boys for a bit of fun. Mackenzie and I were the only ones to go out on the tube and it was fun!
family comes to visit in August and it rains. I had big plans for us on Saturday to go up to Mt. Baker but we go rained out. We tried to go to Chuckanut instead but it wasn't any better cause it was just too wet. Maybe next year Christina :0(
Kyla was being camera shy and hated that we were out in the rain.
I'm all for "fun" pranks at girls camp as long as no ones is hurt and especially as long as no ones feelings are hurt. The Ferndale 2nd ward had life size cardboard cut-out of Taylor Lautner and the girls from our ward along with the Everson ward thought it would be fun to kidnap Taylor. The girls even wrote a funny ransom note, hid him the next day under and had Bro. Dewey promise he didn't see a thing. It all went over very well.
Up in Vancouver every summer they do an amazing fireworks show, we have talked about going for the last couple years and finally got our act together and went. We took our friend Christie and her new baby and Kyla brought Mallory who she'll be rooming with this fall at BYU-I.
Most Sunday afternoons people like to take naps at our house, some tend to find interesting places to sleep. This was the scene one day when I came into the family room around 4:30.
